Insurance & Coverage
Basic insurance is included with every car. Three optional coverage options are available — add the ones you want.
- Waives the ¥50,000 deductible (excess) on vehicle damage
- Waives the NOC (Non-Operation Charge)
- Add it to ① and you pay ¥2,000 a day in total
- Covers single-vehicle accidents and hit-and-run damage
① + ② = ¥2,000 per day, and your out-of-pocket cost in an accident becomes zero
(only when the other party involved can be identified)
Basic insurance on every car: unlimited liability for injury and property damage to others, vehicle damage at market value with a ¥50,000 deductible (excess), and up to ¥10,000,000 per person for injury to you and your passengers. NOC (Non-Operation Charge) is a fee used by rental car companies across Japan to cover lost business while a damaged car is repaired: ¥20,000 if you can drive the car back to us, ¥50,000 if it must be towed (tax exempt; the same NOC applies to all vehicle classes).
